The ACT Branch of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMFACT) does not allow for the refund of membership unless there are exceptional circumstances. Where exceptional circumstances can be shown to exist, the pro rata amount of the membership not exceeding 3 months may be refunded at the discretion of the Branch Secretary.
Members wishing to resign must give 14 days notice in writing and the application for refund must be made in these 14 days.
Refund of membership fees shall incur an administration fee of $15.00 inc GST which shall automatically be deducted for the amount of the refund.
No refunds will be given for amounts less then $15.00.
A member may apply for a refund in the case of financial hardship or due to a change in personal circumstances or career change.
Exceptional Circumstances do not include the taking of Long Service Leave as members are on paid leave.
A partner or spouse may apply for a refund within the guidelines of this policy if the death of the member occurs during the membership period.
Where an error has been made by the ANMFACT or a banking facility which results in an overpayment being made, the ANMFACT may, in consultation with the member, refund either a credit of the overpayment to the member, or alternatively by cheque for the full amount of the overpayment. Cheques will be sent within 14 days to the member’s on file address.
Where a member is responsible for the overpayment, the amount will be credited to the membership.
02. Terms and Conditions Apply to ANMFACT Membership Products and Services
Our policy only allows services to be provided to financial members of the Federation. If a member fails to pay their membership fees within one (1) month of the due date, the membership will become unfinancial, and the member will not be entitled to the privileges of membership.
Membership can be re-instated on payment of the fee. If an individual’s membership is unfinancial they may not use the ANMFACT membership card or claim to be a member of the ANMFACT Branch.
03. Additional Costs Incurred During Processing of Membership Fees
The member will be responsible for all unexpected costs incurred by the ANMFACT Branch incurred in the processing of membership fees. Such costs include (but are not limited to) dishonored cheque fees or bank charges made as a result of insufficient funds or accounts having been closed.
