A reminder to our members - final income statements have been sent and you can now lodge your tax return
The ATO has prepared tailored information for Nurses and Midwives to help make tax time simple this year. This includes what you can and can’t claim, and how to best prepare and lodge your tax returns to ensure you claim the correct deductions. And don’t forget – your ANMF ACT membership fees are tax deductible too!
Taxpayer-funding for aged care must go directly to nurses and care workers – not into providers’ pockets
The Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) has welcomed the Albanese Government’s funding for a long-awaited 15% pay rise for the aged care workforce, but has expressed its bitter disappointment and serious concerns that underpaid nurses and care workers may be denied better wages, because the Government has failed to impose rules on how providers actually use the money.
Reflection of 2022

Thank you to all our Workplace Delegates, Branch Councillors and members for all your work, passion, and determination once again this year. We will see you all in 2023 - bigger, louder, stronger together.
